The Technology Behind

The patented technology behind the product platform VirtuBUILD is designed from the start to handle heterogonous constraints in a dynamical configuration space. Constraints can be logic constraints (with connection to a configuration database), geometric constraints or any other separate data structure (e.g. calculations), which needs to be reflected in the product model.

The capability of applying geometric constraints, such as collision or safety zones, to configurations is due to the fact that the patented software has roots in the geometrical world, enabling it to handle exact geometry.

Constraints are associated with a component assembly, enabling component-based configuration. The advantage of component-based configuration lies in the flexibility and simplicity of product modeling.

Component-based configuration makes it possible to solve a multitude of different complex configuration problems in the same product model, which are not otherwise possible to solve with existing systems on the market today.
