The company

In year 2000, the world’s largest supplier of marine boilers, Aalborg Industries, had a change of ownership, and proceeded towards growth and leadership. The goal, to improve their competitiveness, has brought along big changes at the old Aalborg firm. Involving a standardization of the comprehensive product assortment. That made the next step possible, to introduce an advanced product configurator.

Aalborg Industries themselves say, that they have got the best solution in 3Dfacto’s configurator, because performance wise, 3Dfacto’s software is on top. Karl Peder Olesen og Frank Jørgensen, both engineers in the configuration department, recount their own experiences of using the software:”VirtuBUILD is stable and efficient - and there haven’t been any major problems in integrating with our other systems, such as CAD-systems and the ERP-system.
